ToyotaFest x Lake Ave

Here are the pics from last weekend’s trip to socal through the eyes of my brother Dean.

Toyota Fest was pretty cool. Very chill crowd and the show was very NOT HIN. Walking around with my broke toe proved to be a little difficult so I tried to sit as much as I could.

Walking through the show my brothers and I were saying, man, we should’ve called Chris Yap to come with us…He would’ve owned the MR2 class. We turn a corner…”Oh man, he IS here!!!” And he did, congrats on your best MR2 man! He was even approached by Carter to possibly do a feature for Import Tuner but since it hasn’t changed much since his Super Street Feature (3yrs ago) they couldn’t do it. Kind of funny don’t you think, he hasn’t changed his car since we were in Hokori 4 years ago and he takes top honors and magazines still show interest…doing (or did) something right!

This was Dean’s favorite shot of the show…

Afterwards we met up with Jerry and GH at pacrim. Jerry was actually doing work (himself!!!) putting the wiring back in his EF hatchback.

We met up with Andy at the house and tried to see Iron Man but every single theater was packed that night and there was no way we were sitting front row of a movie. While out, we were able to make a stop at Shaka’s to help Benson celebrate his 29th birthday. Still a kid and looks like it too. Defeated by the hypebeast movie crowd we went back to the house to regroup and ended the night going to a bar a block away.

This is RJ’s new dog Milo…A 9 week Tea Cup Yorkie. Cute but man, it’s soooo small, he is at the mercy of, well, everything on earth.

Woke up the next morning and surprisingly on schedule…Since it was Dean’s birthday weekend and being super cool about the whole deal the only request he made was to eat at Rascoe’s.

and we did…

We left the LX at Jerry’s parent’s house so it was a quick stop and off to norcal we went.

I think we made really good time, left at about 11:00 and got into the drive way before 5…short and sweat weekend but man did it wipe me out…I’m still recovering
